About the Author: Jack Spain

Jack Spain is the pen name of Jayne Spain and was born and spent her early years in London, after which she seemed to be compelled to go and live everywhere else around the globe, until recently when she finally decided to settle back in London. She has had more careers than she would like to remember but has more recently focussed on her writing and has began to publish her books.

When she isn't writing she is mostly interested in cars and motorcycles, but can be found wandering around the amazing collection of museums and libraries in and around Central London looking for inspiration for future novels.

Her favourite authors are Cormac McCarthy, George Orwell, and James Joyce.

She is currently working on Cromwell Road which is the final part of the Animal Kingdom apocalyptic trilogy consisting of the currently published novels, Milk and Shetland.
