The Social Book Club

Join other literary enthusiasts across the globe at the Social Book Club. Whether you're after stimulating conversation about your favourite novels or just a means to fuel your love of books, you can combine reading with chatter, wining and textual analysis!

Hosted by Sylvia Maldonado, book reviewer extraordinaire, the Social Book Club examines a book a month via our social media channels. The first three weeks will be to discuss chapters of the book; the final week will be a big discussion to wrap-up the book.

A quick introduction...

"My name is Sylvia, I am 22 years old and I live on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. I'm in my final year at university, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance. I am the middle child, and only girl in my family. I enjoy numbers and I truly love working with numbers but ironically, my biggest hobby is reading. (Don't give me numbers if I'm not at work, give me a book!)

My book loving hobby started when I was 15 years old, but I can say that this hobby turned more into a passion when I discovered that I can talk and share my love for books with others online!

It's why I believe participating in the Social Book Club is an amazing opportunity. We can talk about books, fangirl about books, cry about books, whatever it is we're feeling, we can express it! That's what reading is all about."

How does Social Book Club work?

The Book Club will be run via our Social Book Club Instagram page.
Each month we'll have a period of 2-3 days where we will be taking suggestions for what our read for the next month should be.
The most popular suggestions will be picked and added to a new poll, where everyone can vote for their official pick. The book with the most votes will be picked as our official read for the month.
Every week throughout the month we'll have discussions about the book. Discussions will be based on different chapters each week.
At the end of the month we'll have one big discussion as a wrap-up, where we can give our final thoughts, ratings, share links for reviews, etc.
And just to add to the fun we'll be hosting some amazing giveaways each month!
