About the Author: Sharryn Dotson
Sharryn was born in Detroit, MI. At an early age, her love for writing was apparent as she kept numerous diaries and journals and loved writing stories. In high school, she wrote an alternate ending to the play "Fences" for an English Lit class that increased her love of writing.
However, she thought she would make a career out of being a physical therapist except for one important factor: she hates science! After taking a career aptitude test, Sharryn discovered journalism was her calling. She earned her BA in journalism from Wayne State University in Detroit in 2006 and immediately went to work as a newspaper reporter in Louisiana. Stints at a television station and digital magazine in Tulsa, OK. soon followed. Sharryn says being a magazine editor pays the bills, but writing books makes her soul happy.
Sharryn lives in Tulsa with her husband and two children.
